Dave was a chef before the coffee business, and Rachel came from a baking background.
Starting the coffee roasting business and opening the Coffee Bar has allowed us to work together, something we both really appreciate after years of only getting to spend our Mondays off together.

You might have seen us at the Amherstburg Farmer’s Market located at GL Heritage Brewery in 2020 or 2021, where we had the opportunity to meet so many new friends!

Hey there! Dave and Rachel - nice to meet you!

We are the husband & wife team behind Acorn and Oak Coffee Company - a micro-roastery and café located in Essex, Ontario.

In January 2022, we opened a Coffee Bar inside REC Health & Fitness Studio in Essex, and in May 2023 we bought a commercial building that would be the home of our new café and roastery!

We are currently working on the new location and can’t wait for you to have a seat in our new dining room or on our sunny patio!

We started working on her in the cold of March 2021 and finally got to debut her on May 22nd at the Amherstburg Farmer’s Market!
We could not have tackled this project without the help of our family and friends and we are so grateful to everyone who played a part in completing Tilly.

On Saturday mornings, you’ll find them brewing our coffee and selling our retail coffee bags alongside an abundance of their delicious scones, muffins, cookies and other goodies!

We are passionate about good coffee, and our company’s focus is on quality beans that farmers and producers are paid a fair price for.
